You cunts will like this - especially you half-witted Brampton cunts with your short attention spans ;):

I was a Barking boy myself, but we still used to ride our bikes down to Barking Quay, German Hill, Jenkins Lane, The Gallions, Beckton, North Woolwich and the ferry and best of all, Creekmouth and BARKING BEACH.

I know of Ade Coker - don't remember him though.

Yeah Mr Bickles died a year or 2 after I left. I actually went back for a memorial service the school did for him.
He was ill whilst I was still there and you could see him waste away. Awful really but still had a quick joke or story for everyone.

Yes mate I remember Dave Bickles sadly another one who is no longer with us. We also had Ade Coker a few times taking us for PE and football training anyone remember him?

HammerTime78 4:17 Fri Jan 18
Re: Brampton Manor.London state school secures 41 Oxbridge offers
Anyone else have Mr Bickles as one of their PE teachers at Brampton. Great character. Legend had it that he was in the last West Ham team/squad who beat Liverpool at Anfield (obviously prior to our recent win). Never checked whether that was true. Didn't want to ruin the myth!

Ha-Ha bill that's a classic, I don't recall Mr Elliots replacement I have selective memories of my school days. You are right Mr Elliot was a good man and his good Wife was a lovely lady to. As they were our next door neighbours my Wife to be and I invited them to our wedding reception they declined as they were getting on into their later years. However they sent us a nice card which my best man read out during the speeches. Unfortunately they had got my name wrong referring to me as Gary instead of Larry and this caused fits of laughter as my best man mentioned that not only were the Elliots our next door neighbours but Bill was one of my former Teachers at school...…...happy days!

hahha yeah bill elliot was a big hammers man nice fella
i knew he was a JP as he had to stand down when i was up for a minor offence as he knew me oops

think crassus might have left e6 before he needed the services of the newham careers advisors.

there was a bearded fella who took over when mr elliot retired, we called him capt birdseye, my mate told him he wanted to be a copper, (having already done time) and when capt birdseye went to get some leaflets about joining the police, he nicked £20 out of his wallet haha

Yes bill that's him and yes he lived down Sandford Road, when I was 13/14 I used to deliver his Sunday Papers. A very community orientated man, he was a justice of the Peace and also started the Junior Hammers

Crassus 1:19 Fri Jan 18

That's strange you didn't know Mr Elliot as bill said he was the careers master you went to him and told him what sort of work you wanted to do on leaving school. If its the same Robert Whiteman and it must be as your description is spot on you must have been in Brampton Manor from 1973 to 1978 the same as me.

Crassus 1:19 Fri Jan 18
Re: Brampton Manor.London state school secures 41 Oxbridge offers
Lato - no mate, never knew them

Rob Whiteman was a strange one, he looked, dressed and acted like a 50 year old when he was 14. Nice bloke mind, albeit intellectually pompous and a raving lefty

Remember a few years back a tv clip and he was on it, some Border Agency issue and I thought fuck me where do I know him from, then it all came back

Bloody Hell this was all a lifetime ago

Agass is still alive , must be about 75 now... I went to Langdon in the mid to late 70's .... Agass seemed just a bit too fond of administering the 'slipper' to naughty boys backsides thinking back on it....

I remember Robert Whiteman he was in my class at Central Park Primary School. Ashworth the Technical Drawing Teacher was always calling us gas bags.

Doe's anyone remember Bill Elliot? He was my next door neighbour from 1992 to 2001 him and his Wife were a lovely couple sadly both passed away in the early 2000's. Williams was a frequent visitor to their house and used to go to the Hammers with Bill...….miserable Taff bastard

Re: Brampton Manor.London state school secures 41 Oxbridge offers
Oh, I agree, Brampton was a much better school. They sent most of the local rascals to Woodside, the place was fucking falling apart at the seams, not for the faint hearted. But as bad as it was, there was something about it that made it a bit special. Brampton was your Trevor Brooking, Woodside was your Paulo DiCanio.
